Nev's Tuesday Talking point.

Well its a bit quite on here?
Its only two games but we haven't lost and conceded just one goal?
So all is good then?
What do you think about our wingless wonders
Right flank seems to work but left flank lacking pace
Do we need two CDM's next game?
Does Praet start and if so for whom?
Not sure playing out of the peno area works but i can see why teams do it.
Creates a gape between strikers pushing up and midfield for dinked passes.

Well nothing to moan about Ndiddi got some stick but that was swallowed after he scored

Happy days ?

I quite liked the look of Praet; mostly up to the speed of the game, made some tackles, showed good vision in his passing. Whether he's ready to start, I'm not sure. I'd want to see him against Newcastle in the cup first and see what kind of performance he puts in. But promising signs.

I would stick with the same formation against the blades, but with Maddison in the midfield 3. They're clearly going to be a tough prospect - organised, hard to break down and roared on by a supportive home crowd who have already seen them notch up one deserved and controlled victory. But I suspect we are going to see a fair amount of the ball and surely don't need both Ndidi and Choudhury for this. So for me the latter makes way and a proper wide player comes in, either Albrighton or Barnes.

As for playing out from the back, it's good to see us attempting to do this, although Ndidi as so often is the worry with his control in tight spaces. He's superb without the ball but we surely need to give him more protection in possession or the incident at Chelsea won't be his last this season.

I’d be surprised to see both Ndiddi and Choudhury in this week, different opposition to the two teams we’ve just played who both finished above us last season.

Does Fuchs retain his place if Chilwell fit?

Do they both play with Chilwell pushed up down the left?

So many questions.

Satisfied so far without being over excited, a good steady start with lots of room for improvement but also signs of what we could see after a few more games and everyone settled in.

We've played two of the better teams in the League and not lost so it can't be that bad a start. How we line up and play against Sheffield will tell us more.

Another point would be good away against a team who have yet to have the confidence knocked out of them.

Can see Albrighton coming in for Choudhury.

Expect Chilwell to come straight back in which I think will help to resolve width and also Maddison’s ability to drift inside.

I would personally play Maddison behind Vardy and have Perez left cutting back in and switch wings with Albrighton through out. Have Tielemans sitting just in front of Ndidi.

Agree, not many teams are coming away from the bridge with anything. Wolves have proved that they are not here just to make up just the numbers. I would not like to see a loss next game but remember....... We are Leicester!
So 1-2? Lol

Well, I’ll be more controversial shall I.

I don’t want us to stick to the 4-3-3 formation and I don’t want to see Choudhury and Ndidi played together. I don’t want to see Maddison played wide.

That aside, I don’t think we need to change much 😉.

I’m of course happy to see how Rodgers sees this game and the team to play it, but I think we’re now in a place where if we stick to 4-3-3, I has to work better than it has offensively in the first 2 games.

Also like Praet and think he can operate well in a midfield 3 with Ndidi and Tielemans. Maybe needs a bit more time to be thrown in though.

My biggest concern is how we get more from Maddison and Tielemans. The midfield unit has to work so that one of them gets more time and space to do damage. The only time we’ve seen that is the second half vs Chelsea.

It’s a funny one. If we’d beat Chelsea which we could easily have done, we’d be 4 points from our top 6 rivals and saying it’s still early days to improve.

If we lose to Chelsea you focus on that abysmal first half and call for change.

We actually ended up in a draw so I’m left a bit confused as to what I want to see. I guess I’ll leave it up to Brendan but whatever side he picks, it needs to be more Chelsea second half the the preceding 135 minutes of football!

Ferry boy,we are in flux it will still take another seven games to see where we really are going to finish up.

I know, but that’s boring isn’t it. We need to spark this board in to life.

One genuine point, as great as Ndidi is, I’m not sure he’s suited to playing in this system. He’s better when he’s the man to break up play and keep it simple.

4-1-4-1 works for him and Tielemans. I’m not sure 4-3-3 does. Now they are two of our best players. Interesting to see how that pans out over the next 7 games.

yes it could of been different three or four down after twenty minutes and one and a hlaf games with just one shot on target on sunday and this board would light up like a christmas tree.
