They have cash machines inside clubs now

There are loads of restaurants, cafes and bars here that don't accept cards; probably 50% of them I'd guess. The authorities won't let that last forever though.

No idea if they still do - this was at the end of the 90's!

Ruined one of my tricks for queue jumping though. Get a tenner out with a receipt, walk up to the front and tell the bouncer his mate let you out to get some money out. Worked 9/10 times!

In the late '90s, there was a night in the basement at Manc Uni student union called 'Dirty' where they played Britney Spears and did a double vodka and mixer for a quid.

It made Sodom and Gomorrah look like the vicar's tea party.

Should really have been called 'Absolutely Despicable Filth'.

Definitely needs to be more done to stop this abuse on social media. You should have to provide proof of identity to verify your account. It would stop a lot of bullying in addition to the racial abuse.

I've seen an idea float that we should put our driving license details in or even passport number, I don't think that's a bad idea.

I wouldn't have a problem with that at all. I guess with kids they would have to get an ID card of some sort. Would also help to protect young children that shouldn't be on social media yet.
