Popty Ping is slang I'm afraid. Microdon is the correct word.

Slefren fôr is Jellyfish although I have heard people call it 'Cont y Mor' which translates as C*** of the sea.!

Don't take the comments here to heart though. People are only messing. Yes it is annoying after a while but we must be able to laugh at ourselves.
