Surprised as anyone that we kept a clean sheet last night however it must be said, I didn’t think AIK were great. They were missing 2 of their better players so they may have a bit more about them next Thursday but I’d find it hard to believe we won’t score again over there so another decent defensive display and we’re comfortably through.
Only seen the 2nd half so can’t comment on the first, obviously the main positives being the performances of the front 4 again, all outstanding and in Edouard, we just need to enjoy the boy while he’s here. He’ll go on to have a career at the very top level.
Thought Julien looked excellent and Ajer once again turning in a solid 7/10 performance, big man rarely lets us down.
Few negatives of course, Boli no words left for him to be honest.
Scott Brown, does it even need debated anymore? He slows us down, people are now walking past him with relative ease and he struggles to find a forward pass with pace.
Forster unveiled last night and he’ll likely be in goals on Sunday so hopefully the big man can hit the ground running.
Reports this morning that Killie value Taylor at £3 million so that should swiftly be the end of that one. That said, we paid £3 million for Boli and Taylor is probably miles better.
Now just 10 days until the window closes so if they’re serious about us going into this season with the best squad we can then they need to add another 2 minimum.
Sunday should be a decent atmosphere now, would imagine we’ll keep Hammed rested for next Thursday. Griffiths and Bayo May get a look in as I suspect he’ll wrap Eddy in cotton wool as much as possible for 2 massive games next week.
A nice way to end a horrendous 10 days.
A pleasing name change for once
