Any more departures?

It looks like Sanchez may be staying and to be honest I’m backing the clubs stance on that. No point paying the majority of the guys wages to play for another club.

Does anyone think anyone else will leave?

Hopefully Rojo and Darmian are sold but it’s probably hard to find a taker as I presume we pay them too much and no one is willing to match that.

Darmian in particular seems to be really wasting his career here. He’s not a bad player who could be useful somewhere but he’s way down the pecking order here.

Can’t see Smalling or Jones going abroad either.

"Darmian in particular seems to be really wasting his career here."

Tell his accountant that.

Fair. You think he would have ambitions of actually playing football though.

Does he still get in the national squad?

I think we will come to some agreement (eventually) with Inter for Sanchez on loan with an option to buy.

I was hoping we would shift Rojo and Darmian at least but that isn't looking likely at all.

Whoever thought it was a good idea to offer Rojo a new deal is an idiot.

Darmian will leave next year in a free. He's wasted his career here. We signed him when he was a starter for Italy. Chelsea have managed to sell their Italian RB yet we can't shift this guy for several years.

We also need to stop this nonsense with our fringe players (like we have done with Darmian) where we trigger 1 year extension clauses just so they keep some sort of value to sell. You are just as well getting rid and saving on wages.

Often with these deals I think either party can choose to trigger the extra deal.

"Whoever thought it was a good idea to offer Rojo a new deal is an idiot.''

This statement x 1 trillion. And something I have harped on in the past ( even during Fergie era), extending Anderson etc, extending Jose only to have him leave shortly after , and the litany of bad deals giving to every c0ck'n' bull player we have had lately.

Bad 'footballing' deals have been a key issue (barely spoken about) in where we find ourselves!

PS

I 'like' Lingard; I don't like him for the excess of 100k much - even in this silly times of player remuneration.

Rashford's deal wasn't particularly smart either.

I agree. Rashford has done nothing of yet to earn those figures.
