You may not like him but that’s a ridiculous statement. Most of what is wrong is the overwhelming influence of the corporate entity of the club. Lingard is an academy player who hasn’t become world class

Lingard doesn’t deserve the stick he gets. Why should the club force out an academy product (and fan) who gives 100% every game and has been one of our more consistent players in recent years, just because he isn’t the next Wayne Rooney? Lingard has scored crucial goals for us and it’s hardly his fault that the big money players who have come in (Pogba, Herrera, Mata, Matic, Sanchez, Di Maria, Fred) haven’t done enough to keep him out of the side. He plays because others have flopped, not because the club is actively pursuing mediocrity.
