indirect free kicks in the penalty box

Simple poll 1 for no 5 for yes

should refs be able to issue a lesser offense for fouls in the penalty box?

Indirect free kick is a silly rule. It's either a foul or its not. Foul in the penalty area should be a penalty.

I would consider it. The guy that has rounded the keeper then is scythed down as he prepares to tap in is hard done by whereas the guy who's ankle is accidentally tapped as he heads out the box at the byeline benefits unduly.
