I think we are cursed. Look at end of last season. It's not like we were playing badly and dropping points but it was completely dominating the game Guardiola Man City level and couldn't win a game. We have to play far better than title winners to win a game. The finishing issue has been a big problem since SAF left. The problem is we got a keeper last season and now this season who can't make a simple save in a game.

For a start, it's a club issue not a 'side' issue. And it is a club issue that has been growing ever weirder for about 8 seasons now. Absolutely no sense of direction, leadership and footballing intelligence from the top to the the bottom.

The muppets can scorn the notion til the cows come home, but the current forward half of the team are relegation fodder (pogba excepted) they are just never going to muster enough creativity, fear in the opposition or goals to worry any defence. Rashford is easy to defend against, lingard is such a joke player that even discussing him has reached irrelevance levels, martial has had way too long to demonstrate he is nothing more than an ordinary shoot thru, and yet the club persist in allowing their presence - compounding that lunacy with this season's sacking of the only decent centre forward they have had since RvN (ibra wasn't there long enough to be considered in that context).

Backwards and downwards seems a long way from the beautiful football club I fell in love with (and stayed in love with) from back in the late 60s. Watching them for the past 6 seasons is getting progressively worse than watching the team that got relegated.

None of this current squad - except perhaps pogba and mata - would have gotten regular first team chances at any time in the club's post-1967 squads.

Time to wake up and stop pretending that if someone is 'young' then they must be some kind of Pele in the wings. Quite frankly it's pathetic. There is NO substitute for competence, capability and capacity.
