Yeah, right, so what we’re gonna do is leave him on the bench. This will show him that we can cope without him (against relegation-fodder). But then what we’ll do is bring him on if we’re struggling this will show that everything’s still gravy if he wants to stay.

They thought they would walk it today so benching Eriksen would show everyone that it’s all good and slap him down a bit.
I actually think the problem isn’t just Eriksen. It’s deeper.
It’s that defence. It’s not having a pattern of play. It’s playing at a placid tempo. Its Jan Vertonghen. Its players like Son and Moura not being consistent enough. It’s Kane. Its having no full backs.It’s the rot that set in last season staying exactly the same.
It’s a mess.

The whole team is a mess at the moment, and the manager has to start to take some flak. These type of performances have been going on for months, and all we get is like a Poch love in, instead of asking serious questions about his team selections and his ability to bed down a settled side.

I would have seen somebody like Parrott on the bench, young and raring to go. Surely the time for him has to come sooner, rather than later.
