Problems?

Now as most of you know I rarely if ever criticise Poch, however I think today is going to be a day I do.

If a player is on the bench, then in my opinion he should fit enough to play.

To have Eriksen & Verthongen as substitutes smacks of stubborn pride, as obviously Poch has decided to punish both players for some reason.

Otherwise it is ill judgement and tactical misjudgement on a massive scale.

If the club knows that Eriksen is definitely off next week, then he should not have even been on the bench, if he is staying he should play from the start.

I noticed that Verts had what looks like a black eye, has something happened we do not know about and is that why he has not figured so far?

Poch has always had my full support, however I am now wondering if he is indeed thinking of moving on. I don’t want him to leave, but if he feels he has taken the club as far as he can then maybe he might go.

Something is not quite right at the club, maybe someone who knows more could enlighten us as to possible reasons for this unrest.

On a positive note, it is only 3 games in and therefore no need to panic...................yet

What I do know is that we need get back to playing at pace rather than the turgid slow build up of today.

Hats off to Newcastle though, they snatched a goal and defended brilliantly the whole game

If we’re sitting here thinking that this summer’s transfer business hasn’t been great, Poch will too.

I just get the feeling that is heart’s not in it.

He needs to win something and then he’ll be off.
But he doesn’t seem interested in the FA or League Cup and we aren’t going to win the league or CL.

Poch has been amazing for Spurs, but whatever it was he was doing 2 or 3 seasons ago either isn’t working now and needs to change it he needs to go back to.

Poch has obviously lost the team, there are no huddles and embracing or signs of joy in the team these days. I believe that he should have left after the CL final that was the end of the project, as things are now it could really all fall apart at the end of this season as cant see Kane wanting to stay with this rabble, manager gone half the squad leave start from scratch again. I think Levy is to blame also in the fact that he has not upgraded the squad regularly enough and this window not sufficiently enough very half hearted

I said as much last season, and was shouted down by our supporters fawning over the manager like he is some puppy dog. I started to smell the coffee a long time back.

What was with the boos at full time?

Any team can be beaten in the Premier League. Poch has taken you to new heights including a CL final.

I’m sure he’ll have picked up on that reaction at full time and it won’t sit well with him. I think it was ungrateful from the supporters who have short memories.

I wonder whether Spurs or Arsenal will be under the greatest pressure next week-end? Both were pretty pathetic this week-end!

Arsenal will not be under any pressure, it will be a routine victory for them.

Poch did not miss the 2-3 absolute "sitters" in the second half! Was not crazy about the Newcastle game plan, but it worked. There may be some dissention in the ranks, but Poch managed to guide Spurs to the CL final a few months ago, he is not the problem.

Perhaps the Spurs players, and Mr. Levy, should be supplied with their own personal mirrors?

It is interesting to see the reaction supporters to yesterday’s defeat.

I nearly always take a pragmatic view, preferring to wait until maybe we have played 8-10 matches, thus giving me a better profile of our prospects for the rest of the season.

However, I also have some empathy for those who feel their World has been torn apart after 3 matches

The irony. It wasn't Poch who guided Spurs into the CL Final. It actually was a player. By the name of Lucas Moura. Without him, the player *alone* we would never have been CL Finalists.

You were saying?

On the heels of after the upsetting downfall of our team who was actually within a win of going top of the PL last season only to witness a total capitulation and then there was that farcial CL Final. This season, thus far, has been a seamless carry on from where we left off.

Nothing has changed since the beginning of the year.

It's been 3 games, were you expecting those issues to be fixed over night?
