Naivity and immaturity of Poch

Naive to let 3 first team players enter last year of their contracts and think that they will sign. Levy and Poch both dropped the ball on this.

Immaturity by Poch to put pride before performance.

I believe Poch is being exposed. There's a different skill set for top management.

As talented as we all believe Poch to be. He has NEVER handled an expensive squad with high expectations.

He's now bought expensive which means he has to justify his tactics and selections more often to the press and fans.

In my opinion Clubs are like Companies. You select the manager for your market and your situation. You can have extremely talented management for smaller markets but now that we reached Champions League final and top 4 Prem...He needs to prove he's a blue chip manager not just in talent but with results.

Our squad is extremely talented and if we don't get anything out of them this season it's purely down to his Naivity and immaturity in handling the situation.

Yes we all love stability and Poch gives us that comfort. But everything is in cycles. I don't see the pressing game of 2016, we used to win the ball back far higher up the pitch. Why has this changed??

I'll suspect that Kane runs far less than he used to. A key part of his game was pressuring opposition defences and the team took their lead from him.

Let's see what happens against Arsenal but a humiliating loss at Emirates could trigger a downward spiral that Poch might not be able to recover from.

He needs to identify his best team and stick to it. Lamela and Sanchez should be the casualties.

He needs to get the basics right, like picking his best available team, instead of leaving key players out in some lame attempt to prove a point. While we are paying their wages they should be selected in the starting XI.

Problem with the manager is he thinks he is bigger than the club now, and he isn`t. He can easily be replaced, the club cannot. He needs to learn that. There is only so long Levy will put up with it. If as I suspect this will be our last CL campaign for a bit, he will then be outed.

Sandy, yesterday was a very frustrating experience for a Spurs fan. But what exactly do you think Poch should have done differently?
1. RB is an obvious weakness that was not addressed in this transfer window - KWP is not good enough, and Sissoko ended up in that position.
2. Sanchez starting with Vertonghen on the bench can only be justified if Verts wasn't match fit. Was it a contract issue, as rumored?
3. Winks is not good enough either, should Lo Chelso have started?
I don't think Lo Celso is going to be the answer to Eriksen's leaving, he did not impress in the Copa A.
4. Lamela gets flack on here, but I thought he played well.
5. Tactics - all this sideways and backways possession football - I don't like it, but Newcastle did park the bus. You blame Poch for this, I take it?
6. Harry Kane? Seems he may be past his prime, which is why I have been harping on the Dybala deal, which should have been done.
7. I agree the team has not played well against Villa, City and Newcastle, and are lucky to have 4 points. In fact we were damned lucky to get past Ajax in the CL.

My best guess is that there is a front office problem with Levy at the heart of it. And its filtering down to the playing field.

Will it be that "easy" to replace Pochettino? Tell me who you think would be willing to manage under Levy? Doesn't Poch still has a long term contract?

Contracts mean nothing. Managers get sacked after a year or less.

There will be plenty of managers in the frame for the managers job Ted. Just I don`t get paid to pick them, so I could say Guardiola for the job, but we know it aint happening.

Sorry, pressed the wrong button......
Plenty of managers who would put up with Levy?
That's what you're saying, right?

I am sure you would put up with Levy for what managers get paid Ted. I have no sympathy with managers who even when they get sacked pick up an absolute fortune. Money for old rope managing football clubs.
