Difficult Season

Was at a wedding during the match so haven't had a proper chance to look into it until late but that is such a pathetic result and performance to add to our terrible run of games. The CL was a glimmer of hope we had to salvage an otherwise poor season in the league and we've continued that form into this season.

Something isn't right. I think mentally alot of players are worn down including Pochettino. Its going to be a very difficult season ahead. Lucky for us we might still get fourth based on what ive seen from United, Chelsea and Arsenal but we need to improve somehow.

It's all coming down like a house of cards it feels like. We had such a brilliant back four and its not been the same for ages. That was the foundation for good results.

On current form going back last six months, Spurs have no chance of top four this season, they will be lucky to be top half of the table.

This season could be the last in the CL for a while until they completely rebuild.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No chance of top 4? Really?

Of course we have a chance. Your opinions/predictions just get more extreme as we go along.

If it is to be the last season in the CL for a while it sure as hell won't just be Poch's fault.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

I am a realist mate. How can you seriously say a side that has won just four of its last 14 Prem games is a going to make top four. Poch is the manager so the buck stops with him. He cannot keep making excuses and blaming everybody else. Levy gave him a new stadium, money to spend, and the team is still playing some of the worse football I have seen at WHL.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Because I am prepared to separate the form from last season with this one. We have never always had the best starts under Poch anyway. The season we came second we got 5 points from our first 3 games, and the season before that just the 2 points. But we got top 4 in both seasons.

I don't think you're being realistic at all.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The top four this season will be City,Liverpool and the two out of the rest of us which make the least c*ck ups, us and Spurs already on the c*ck up register this weekend.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Arsenal hardly endeared themselves to be favourites either, and Chelsea narrowly beat Norwich.

I still fancy ourselves to get top 4 providing Poch doesn't leave.

Difference then mate, was we were still playing decent footie, we dropped points against both Burnley and Swansea I think it was early season a couple of seasons back, but battered both sides. I can take that. What I cannot take is yesterday`s rubbish where the team barely created a chance against one of the worse sides in the division. Not on mate.

I am the opposite, I only fancy Spurs for top four again, once Poch leaves.

Ok then. It's not like he's proved himself to be a top 4 manager I suppose.

Who does Sandy want to replace Pochettino with?

This debate is like arsenal fans towards the latter years of wengers reign, except without the trophies.

Poch in? Poch out? Shake it all about

Yes it was a bad loss and a poor performance, we know that, but let's wait and give it more than 3 games to see if we can change things. I really hope we aren't going to lose any more players because I don't think Poch will react to that well.

Well he needs to start winning games then. Mourinho won lots of trophies, but past history don`t make you immune from the sack, as Mourinho, the Leicester manager, lots of Chelsea managers, even Wenger had to go. Poch is not the Messiah.

It is fine margins though, if that mug Mike Dean gives us either of those penalties yesterday (one of which was about as blatant as you will ever see), VAR does not overturn it, Kane then equalizes and we probably go on and win the game (goals change the dynamic of a game).

Then all this nonsense being chewed over today doesnt happen and everybody is buzzing going into the NLD. The officials (and VAR) have a major influence on the outcome of football matches, especially those games that are close or where the better team is playing below their best.

This weekend I’ve seen Silva, Martial, Kane, mount all bewildered are the refusal of blatant pens checked by VAR, the ref should go to the pitch side monitor to review his decision, non of this incidents would have seen a penalty decision reversed if given but non were it’s a total joke
