Fortress new ground has become

a bit of joke with barely a dozen games played.

Defeats to West Ham, Newcastle, Ajax and throw in a pre season defeat to Inter Milan, and with barely a dozen games gone, Spurs have have already lost a third of them. Only wins have been against relegated or promoted teams plus a last minute winner against Brighton and a win in the first game against Palace. Doesn`t bode well for going forward.

Yet some of our fans still think thinks are going swimmingly well, and Spurs will soon be racking up the wins. I don`t think so.

Next set of away games are not easy either

Arsenal
Leicester
Brighton
Liverpool
Everton
West Ham
Man United

For a team that has not won an away game in the Prem for months, then I don`t see more than half dozen points out of that lot, if that, so absolutely imperative that Spurs win their home games.

Tough times ahead I think. Don`t wish to appear gloomy, but the way the manager and team is performing, not giving me much cause for much optimism going forward.

Probably have to regroup in the New Year and maybe target a domestic trophy, I suspect under a new manager.

Bl00dy hell Sandy you're making me sound upbeat. Perhaps all those people (including you) who were talking about "a fortress with 62,000 fans cheering us on" need to focus on what really matters. I've been saying it for years... This is a business, players are NOT fans, its their job. Playing in a fancy stadium has ZERO impact on anything. Its a short career and players want to get paid as much as they can as quickly as possible. Players want to be surrounded by other good players with the best possible chance to win.... Thats it... All this crap about the stadium & training ground are secondary and are factors used by the club to justify their spending for the overall objective of profit. Spurs are such hypocrites.... They plaster "its all about the glory" all over the stadium...... Its all talk..... Typical Spurs... Style over substance !!! Nothing glorious about watching the likes of Winks, Sissoko, Lamela Etc

My optimism of early last season has been now turned to pessimism because of the poor prem results since the turn of the year, and a manager that seems incapable of turning things around.
