Really hope Poch comes to his senses as a back 4 of Sissoko, Sanchez,Toby & Rose has disaster written all over it. I think i'd rather play a back 3 (Toby, Jan & sanchez) with Rose & Sissoko as WBs.

i was banging on about the ridiculous fullback situation all summer, so i have nothing else to say.
its an absolute mess. was a problem area last season and we have addressed the problem by making ourselves weaker. its actually laughable.

RB and a CM were the musts of the summer and Sessegnon and Lo Celso would have been the improvements to the squad.

The problem with what Poch has been left to deal with is that he can't know his main eleven ahead of any given fixture.
That's because if he plans his 11 and then up to 3 players could be gone before the next game, it would be plans down the drain and wasted time.
How do you mitigate that? either you hope they'll still be there for the next game or you plan for the next game, with those players on the bench.
That's what happened with Eriksen. Possibly Verts too.
Toby made it clear that he is happy to stay unless he gets a long contract with a good club in Europe. What he got so far didn't even match his base salary at Spurs.
After the European windows close, Poch will be in a better place to know for certain his starting eleven and plan games around them.

The irony of it all. We play NLD game on the 1st Sept and European window closes on the following day
It's possible a late bid for Eriksen could see him not even make the bench for the NLD. Same with Toby and Verts.

How?
Eriksen now has a lovely contract on the table waiting for him to sign it, but he has refused to sign it until the European window shuts.
He is leaving his options open, and of course, he is praying for RM move.
What can the club do? Nothing. This is a player who has given 6 years of positive and exciting football to the club
Fans don;t realised that Poch is doing his best under the circumstances by only playing Eriksen sporadically to spare him any nasty injuries that would be detrimental to his move and fail his medical if RM came in for him.
If that happened, then we would be lumbered with a crocked player who would be aggrieved too.
