Yesterday, we learnt City, the current premier league title winners will be playing the mighty Preston City in the Carabao Cup.
Now, they have the mighty Shaktar, Atlanta and Zagreb.
How convenient, don't you think?

Spurs have Olympiakos and Red Star (mocked intensely when Arsenal drew them a couple of seasons back).
Chelsea are the only English team with a percentage of doubt over their progression.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Eh they drew ajax? Probably been dismantled again and to europa teams valencia and lille? Probably shortest travel distance too being france spain and netherlands. Theyre surely happy with that draw.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
You do understand a percent is a very small amount? Ajax haven't lost most of their team, just the big 2 really.
Valencia are decent.
Chelsea have a poor squad and a rookie manager.

There's only really one or maybe two difficult groups so it's odds on that only one English side avoids an easy draw - that side is Chelsea.

City group - even their most ardent fans must be saying, when is this luck gonna end ? trouble is, like last year when they basically got a bye to the quarters, the first decent team they draw knocked them out. Probably happen this year also. No bragging rights for them or their fans if consistently getting shoe in's.
Liverpool group - easy for them, but not so obviously biased as City group. Will need to play majority of first team in each game to ensure no slip ups.
Spurs group. definitely a bit easier than last year, with pots 3/4 not as good as Inter and PSV last year. Should get second if don't mess up the away games. Bayern is to just be enjoyed and any result is a bonus.
Chelsea group - toughest of the English. Really depends how the youngsters go with minimal European experience + Hazard not there to pull a rabbit out of the hat when needed. Probably 50/50 call on getting through.
