When and how to introduce youngsters.

Apart from the obvious that the youth team set up and Ole think they are ready.
5 minutes from the end, to give them a taster is fine, so long as we are not one down. Then the expectation is that they will get a goal or assist in the last five minutes, after the first teamers couldn't do it in 85 minutes. Desperate.
20 minutes to go, 2 goal lead, looking comfortable. I don't like this either, the re-organisation can change the complexion of the game, if the other score in the first few minutes after you can bet they will get another before the end.
I prefer to give them a start, in their normal position, and say,
" You have the first half, then we will re-assess, like we do do for each player. Go and play your normal game and you will do well".
It's best tp only do it one at a time, not ,say three together. Some will need a more gradual increase in games, say six starts out of twenty games. Others will take to it like a duck to water, are stronger physically, more confidence, then they can have much more game time.
I do think they need at least half a game to show what they can do.

Give them starts in Europa and League cup. That's the benefit of being in the secondary European competition.

Yes, but they still have to make league debuts.

For me it’s best when you have a settled side full of experience and then you can bring a promising youth player on when the game is won or if they offer something radically different maybe bring on a young promising striker if nothing is working in the game - like for example Macheda.

Start then in league cup or early round Europa too.

Yep. Let them prove themselves in these con
Competitions and play their way into the league matchday squad.

I think this is the approach Ole is going to take. I don't expect to See Gomes/Chong/Garner before the EL and EFL cup

Great OP by the way. Always found when we introduced a young player to a settled side that is doing well for 20 mins, they don't really get a chance to show what they are about. So they try too hard to impress and make silly mistakes because their time is so limited.

Not really any need for Matic and Garner unless the opposition is strong, they're both quite defensive. Probably need one of them in the first team as much as it pains me to say it (regarding Matic), so Pogba can push higher.
