I tell you what BS - Tielemans and Vardy hugely benefited from the switch in formation. Both played really well.

Bournemouth looked a bit off the pace but you can only play what’s in front of you. As per my post on the pre match thread, I felt like 4-3-3 was being used to try and shoehorn players in to the team. Dropping Pérez and balancing up the side meant we were much more creative. If we’d been better in the final pass we could have had more.

What is pleasing for me is Rodgers has shown he’s willing to be flexible. I was worried he was going to stick rigidly to 4-3-3 in the belief it would come good. It may do, but being flexible is very useful whilst we perfect it.

A very satisfying afternoon.

We bossed it, Soyuncu and Vardy unplayable. Tilemans should of been sent off but he looked better today with change of system too.

Mersey, I don’t think it’s a case of being flexible from Rodgers, he’s just shown he’s a tactician and is happy to switch the style to the opposition.

Post match he said we knew how Bournemouth play and the like to play football so we could adapt to that.

10/10 for team selection, tactics and substitutions today.

With a bit better final ball we could have thrashed them
Today, Tilly had an up And down game for me but Vardy and Söyüncü were immense.!

TB - I was just worried he’d got set on 4-3-3 and wouldn’t move from it. Pleasing to see that he is willing to adapt.

Söyüncü was excellent there’s no doubt, but he is still a little erratic at times. One thing is for sure, he’s absolutely stepped up to the task and is making the Maguire sale look like excellent business. Credit to Evans also who I think has helped Söyüncü. Evans for me was the better defender today - he doesn’t need to be quite so all action as his reading of the game is brilliant.

Sounds great thanks lads. I honestly thought he would stick with the 4-3-3, good that he dropped Perez.

Interesting to note, in a certain other Season we drew 2 and won 2 after 4 games and were 3rd in the Table, just saying.

Yeah, that time we were up against the floppy un-juganaut that were Spurs. This time is the unfathomable Man City & Liverpool

Very True, I don't think that miracle can happen again but with the other 4 teams looking meh we could be in for a real shot at disrupting their World again.

Absolutely. I don't think the proverbial big 6 is going to be anything like the top 6 this time around
