He’s in the position to leave us next summer for free and sign a pre contract with someone in Jan. He may well stay with us but surely if he was gonna sign he would have done something by now? Imo he looks at his career and wants more silverware and with Courtois having a shocking time at Real I wouldn’t be surprised if he joins them next season on a free.
If that is the case who should we replace him with?
Obvious and probably unlikely choice is imo one of the best keepers in the world in Oblak. But a more likely choice could be Courtois himself. After how he’s done at Real is he a no no or a guy who could repair his reputation at United? The Ajax keeper looks very good too.
Do people think DDG will stay? And if he doesn’t improve is the loss as huge as it would have been 2/3 years ago?

Butland would be the obvious choice that fits that criteria, unless utd want to splash the cash on Pope or Pickford.

Butland’s been dropping clangers in ghe Championship and Pickford is erratic IMO. I do like Pope though, seems pretty solid.
I thought he was unfortunate yesterday as TAA’s cross deflected and looped up over him, he’s a good ‘keeper generally though.
Dean Henderson has signed a new contract until 2022, you assume the club see something in him.

I wouldn't be surprised to see him signing a new contract but with some agreement that he'll be allowed to leave for a smallish fee (money back at least) if certain clubs come in for him. That protects United (better than losing him for nothing) and him (as he could potentially suffer a bad injury).
