Seems barely newsworthy this, but his transfer to Parma has been completed for what looks like a nominal fee.
Never really did anything wrong for us, and always seemed like a decent professional.
Good luck to him with what effectively needs to be the rebuild of his career. Hopefully he gets a decent run of games and can force his way back into the Italy side
We are left with Spider and Dalot at RB with Young, Tuanzebe and Lindelof as emergency cover, and Shaw and Young at LB with Rojo as emergency cover.

I always liked Darmian as a professional. Think it's a shame he didn't play more and I'm sure he'd have been good for us in a back three. I wish him well. Started the 2017 Europa League Final too so will be a part of our history. Talking of that final though see how much the team has changed since then.

Darmian's big problem was being an excellent defender in an era when people (fans, coaches, w@nkers) expect a full back to attack like Gary Lineker and don't care that they also defend like Gary Lineker.
He was just too good at his job, he had no place in this current squad.
