Accents - which ones do you like/not like?

I usually dont like international breaks, but i welcome this one as it means i don't have to watch the dross being served up by spurs for a while.

so lets talk about something else.

accents...

which 3 accents (that are not your own), do you have a soft spot for?

which 3 accents (that are not your own), can you not stand?

I personally like the sound of the south African accent.. i find it fascinating.
i also like the Barbadian (Bajan) accent.... good example of this is Joffra archer although his i find slightly watered down.

as for ones i don't like... the Liverpool, Birmingham, and new York accents are all a no no.

yours?

A strip of tarmac goes into the pub and orders a pint. After serving him, the barman asks if he wants to join his mate in the corner. Sitting in the corner is a strip of red tarmac. The strip of tarmac shakes his head violently: "I'm not going near him" it says, "he's a cyclepath!

Dislike:
South Afreakan
Mancunian
Innit blud fam London

Kind of like:
Brummie (used to hate it till I dated a Redditch lass)
Scouse (used to hate it till I made friends with a genuine lovely scouse family. The husband is kinda famous, changed his name legally to a well known Premier League Team - no not Liverpool or Everton)
Welsh (my long time pal from N. London (Arsenal fan) moved there and as they told me one time when I went to visit, in traditional Welsh wordage "whose jacket is this coat?'... how can you not like the Welsh?)
(Oh, Leeds accent, don't ask why)

Like:
German (Yes really. They speak better English than the English )
Essex (or E. London? Once dated someone from Dagenham and called her an Essex bird. She went off and told me "I ain't from blooming Essex, I'm from East Larndun"
American (they all enunciate their English better than the English)

Yep that is by far the worst. It's intentionally talking like a caant for attention.

Just an average interview on AFTV then.

I seem to really love ‘English’ spoken by non-Brits especially those that have strong German, Austrian or Indian accents.

I might struggle at times to understand them but I prefer northern accents rather than southern ones. Scouse, Geordie and North Yorkshire as well as Irish and the type of Scottish accent Billy Davies has (excuse my limited knowledge of Scottish areas) are great.
