Racist abuse is a form of respect

Time for UEFA to get involved I'd hope.

Obviously Inter fans can't condemn the blatant racism because they also want to do the same to opposition black players. Respect which only targets black players? Ridiculous.

Its a problem the authorities can't really understand.

Even on this site we have folk who think what happened to Brown is worse than racism. Both despicable but racism is on another level.

Another thinks racism is water off a ducks back compared to what happened to Brown.

Another one thinks that the Inter fans have actually raised an important point in the way racism is viewed because they are not claiming racial superiority but just looking to put the player off his game.

If this is how football authorities reason then no wonder they can't effectively deal with racism.

If I was racially abused and took the perpetrator to court, I'd be dismayed and apply for recusal if the judge thought that a dead family member being brought up is worse than me suffering racist abuse.

It just demonstrates why they are not doing enough to stop racism. They simply don't understand it.

Sometimes you see a black person saying white people don't understand racism and its true, unfortunately.

John Barnes was correct in his comments a few days back this attitude is part of society as a whole and nothing to do with football. Italy is a backward nation in that regard to my mind.

Saw this article on BBC too yesterday, couldn't believe my eyes. Obviously this is pure stupidity from stupid people and insults the intelligence of anyone who has more than 3 brain cells.

As someone said, what we're seeing in football is nothing more than exactly the same as we are seeing in every day society. And here is just as bad! Got about 2 - 5 mil people, happy to ascociate themselves with 12 - 15 mil racists, to get their way. Only difference is that the racists here are disguising their "Oo Oo Oo" as "OUT OUT OUT!"
