Never realised the reason Bilbao and Atletico Madrid wear red and white is purely by accident and because of Southampton. An amazing club because of their unflinching principles, especially in today’s climate.
Enjoy.

I've been to Mérida and Badajos, and one or two villages there whose names I have forgotten. It was in 1973 so a long time ago. But it is certainly different to the coast, more wild, rugged;

What a player Matt le Tiss was, I loved watching him. And his own man, didn't follow trends, just his own thoughts and wants.

I didn't know the connection either Robb, but there are loads of teams in Europe and South America that owe the origins to the UK.

Along with Andy Coke and Lee Sharpe he was my fave player as a kid. Scored the type of goals that only he could score and I doubt we’ll see again.

You often see Le Tissier off his titts at Jumpin Jaks bar in Bournemouth (which was a horrible western themed bar from what I can recall) on Friday nights, the day before a game.
