But this is such a typical french thing , isn't it?
Ahead of the France v Albania qualifier tonight in Paris , they played the wrong anthem for Albania.
They played the anthem for Andorra instead. You could see the shock and confusion amongst the Albanian players and an angry reaction from their fans during the playing of the anthem ... Err , for Andorra.
And of course 15 minutes later , when this embarrassment was finally fixed , the stadium anouncer apologized to ... wait for it ... wait for it ... the Armenian players and fans! you know , for the playing of the Andorra anthem instead of the Albanian one.
And with France leading 3-0 now , to say that Albania have been disrespected in more ways than one is an understatement

We, 'The British', did the same thing to Georgia in a Rugby International match in Edinburgh yesterday.

As U21434 already mentioned, England did the same in Rugby. And if you were following any other sports, you'd know that it has also been done in multiple occasions.
In the London Olympic, they displayed the South Korean flags instead of North Korean.
In Gymnastics, the Russian anthem was played instead of Ukraine.
But the worst of all must be the music of Borat movie played instead of Kazakh

I was at that game. It was at the football at Hampden Park between Columbia women and North Korea women. They gave us absolutely no notification about what was going on and kick off was delayed by the best part of an hour.

Not as funny as when that kazakhstan gymnast won gold. Instead of playing the real Kazakhstan anthem, they played the one from Borat!
