Its so much better as a spectacle than the last days of BR.
So few sideways passes now, the speed on the break is superb in the last game the Hayes goal took around 3 secs after we got the ball, its a joy.

To be fair you used to be pretty decent on the break when you were pumping us a couple of years ago when Brendan was the boss. A fair few of Edouards goals in those days were back to front pretty rapido.

Not a huge amount has changed for me to be totally honest.

Celtic still have the stronger squad and they have the track record of winning the last 9 trophies going which makes them strong favourites.

SG definitely needs to have strong cup runs and run it close in the league this season to have a tangiable indicator of progress. Europa league qualification twice in a row is impressive but he needs to have the same level of success at overcoming the domestic challenges.

Taking a step back now we have reached the international break I would say I am pleased with a number of the signings but a few remain as head scratchers - I will never really understand the need for Stewart, Barker or Hastie.

None of them have really ever done anything to suggest they could come in and improve Rangers to the point where we are taking titles off celtic.

And spending £3m on Helander seems a bit odd when an older experienced guy could have come in for far less if we needed a bit more cover.

I also think a decision should have been made quicker wrt the LB slot which still has a question mark over it. I would rather have seen the Helander money spent there and Barisic moved on if he isn't going to cut it in Scotland.

-----

He's being kept for cold, wet winter nights in Dingwall.

Clue in the name.

Helander has been getting up to fitness and the defence has been playing well. Katic has upped his game and has been solid prior to the Celtic match.

We went into the Celtic game off four clean sheets on the bounce.
