Once upon a time in...Hollywood.

I do enjoy a Tarantino film but havenโ€™t seen many in the cinema. Was thinking of going to see it on Saturday.

Anybody seen it? If so, where would it rank in order of Tarantino films?

Those who donโ€™t like his films are welcome to comment, but donโ€™t know why you would.

Oh, and RDD need not comment.

Kill Bill was really overrated. Hope there won't be anymore of them. The whole blood bath/cutting off limbs stuff at the end of the first one got boring very quickly but Tarantino must have felt like a kid in a sweet shop over it. Not everyone finds your lust for blood spurting all over the place as fun as you do, mate!

Kill bill is overaged, most of his stuff is..

Certainly don’t need a third one

Exploitation movies aren’t ever gonna be for everyone though so it’s a bit stupid moaning about the blood and gore when that’s clearly something Tarantino loves and is hugely influenced by. Saying that, I don’t think we need another Kill Bill.

It’ll be interesting to see if Tarantino moves into TV, the way his style has evolved lends itself far more to TV than movie imo.

Pulp Fiction was just too good. Everything he has done since was just wasn't to that level.

Nothing wrong with that. It was a hell of a high peak to acheive.

Django was probably the least 'Tarantino' movie but it was unbelievable.

With the best acted scene of all time in it for me.

There is a thread all of its own right there.

Rutger Hauers death scene in Bladerunner for me.

Read about Sharon Tate, the Manson family etc.

Film makes SOOOO much more sense when you know about that as I found out

Yeah, you really need to read about that beforehand as it adds to what you expect to happen and then when it happens differently it adds to the surprise in the end scenes.

Being a massive Beatles fan in my early 20s, I had read all about it due to the connection. Apparently Manson told them that the Beatles had told them to do it through hidden messages in the White Album. They apparently wrote 'Helter Skelter' in blood on the walls with Sharon tate's blood, which of course was one of the biggest songs from the White Album.

TOOR, you’re mainly correct but the Helter Skelter thing was done in the next set of murders (the LaBianca ones) and that was written (as Healter Skelter) on the fridge of their place rather than the Tate house. You should read the book, it’s very interesting by the lead prosecutor of the case.

Where Leo smashes his hand on the table and cuts the glass, the fact that it was real and wasn't scripted makes the scene unbelievable the way he played it out.

Masterful acting.

Yeah I read about it years ago so my 'facts' are a bit clouded.
