Admin, don't think he is saying that they shouldn't believe they should still be out there and performing. He's pointing out why you shouldn't publicly show your feelings. Because of the negative impact it can have and disrespect to your team mates. The same reason he never will publicly criticise a mistake a player or referee makes. He never has, but that doesn't mean he doesn;t think a player has ever made a mistake. Just what benefit is there in highlighting this in public?
Jonty, I thought exactly the same. This is tells us a lot about the Jansson situation.

I'd agree with that.

for these reasons alone, you see now why PJ had to go.

Its obvious Pontus thinks he's better than we thought!..
When the coach has problems with a player than he should have the last word, if it goes wrong then the coach is to blame!..
Pontus brought his own downfall on himself, it started when Monk was boss and ended with Bielsa!..
Wanting extended leave which under Monk he got, strike one!..
Doing the same a second time under Bielsa but asking others to join him, last straw!..
Ignoring AR when leaving the pitch, ouch!..
Sulking alone after how many games?..
That's things seen in public, nobody has any idea as to what he was like in the changing room around the other players!..
There were one or two players he ignored after Brentford played us!..
With the AR incident, maybe it wasn't just Bielsa that had a problem, that could be why he went so cheaply, the boss and coach both wanting rid!..

A great coach would have found a way to keep Pontus on board.

Thing is with keeping a player on board is they have to play their part!..
Things he did in public alone show he didn't, and like I said, how was he around the others?..

Remember ol' Rednose and Jaap Stam? Similar situation maybe, and everyone said he was crazy to let Stam go, but it turned out that he wasn't irreplaceable...

a great coach wouldn't put up with players that think they're better than they are.

Stan and Fergie is a bad example because I’m pretty sure Fergie has since said letting Stam go was the time he got it wrong and regrets it
