For all the talk of a Paul Scholes pass though... Michael Carrick could still do a decent job for United ON the pitch, based on last night.

Agree ,Carrick strolled through the game and bossed it for them. Thought NDJ did well too, I still maintain that we never really replaced him like for like.
Did anyone else notice that one side had 2 number 11s and the other had 2 number 27s on the pitch at the same time. Quiz question for the future lol

Didn’t need to replace him like for like though, we’ve evolved into a side with more flair players, who aren’t afraid to do their own fair share of the kicking 😜

Adrian Durham doesn't rate Scholes as one of the greats, and I tend to agree. Great is subjective of course, but for me, they are midfielders like Zidane, Iniesta, Rivaldo plus a few more.

Durham? That facking fat, flabby, four eyed, pompous, pious, pig ugly sack of ginger sheite? A low rent antagonistic click bait merchant, a two bob broadcaster who has never played pro football? I wouldn’t wipe my arrsehole with his opinion even if it was printed on silk bog roll - I’d sooner gauge the thoughts of the excremental smears I’d just left decorated on the pan. Quoting him as a source of reference in a serious football conversation is like paraphrasing one of Harold Shipmans research papers at the GMC Conference. If Durham suddenly keeled over with a massive stroke and was lost to the world of radio broadcasting forever I wouldn’t lose a nanoseconds sleep - in fact I’d go to bed early that night to get a full 8.5 hours in, then hit the snooze button a few times in the morning.
