Once Giroud is healthy...

...we can replace Tammy. While he has done admirably in place of Giroud, I feel we need more experience up top. Thats the only way we can challenge for cups this season.

Goals are nice, but experience wins you matches*

COME ON CHELSEA

Another poor game from willy all in all but if he regains any sort of form he can be a danger in this side
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Frank said he was excellent
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He did have a good game.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He can be very useful as a late sub when Kante,RLC, CHO and Puli are up to speed.

Agree. I thought he was our poorest player. Even messed up the corner routine for our first goal. But is a great option to have. Whether he will be happy being on the bench and rotate is another matter though.

Willian will start agst Valencia. I imagine Frank was going to start Giroud too agst Valencia, but hard to leave Tammy out now.

Tammy has always had a good all round game, watching him as a youth and his general development he has always had more to his game than just goals, and one year he and Solanke reached 40 goals each. I've seen Tammy defending and tracking back, even pushing the team on. In some ways he reminds me of Drogba.

Fyi I saw potentially the next Tammy on Friday night playing for the PL2 team, Henry Lawrence, cleared two off the line and scored an amazing goal, and he's only 17. In that game Reece and CHO looked great, CHO was showboating most of the time, full of confidence.

...On the money
Skill-set Tammy is currently displaying is nothing new to me as well.

Always possessed all round game just needed refinement and manager that will empower, push/pressure him to progress to the next level with the added incentive of retaining his place in the first-choice starting line-up, repaying the managers belief in him, proving his many doubters/detractors wrong and an England call-up (maybe it was a blessing in a disguise didn't get the call-up this time round, might have subconsciously lowered his level a bit).

I see the one-on-one finishing lessons with Frank are also paying-off, great when something learned from the training ground translates into match situation.

Reminds me a lot of Adebayor stylistically (aside from Adebayors' work ethic/rate which was non-existent).
In the way in which he can just cushion & trap ball on chest with back to goal (exemplary), bring others into play, quick with shifting ball at feet & hangs in air above anyone to score.
Variety of goals I envisage Tammy can score.
Hell of a volleyed strike Adebayor used to possess.

So much riding on the academy graduates and they are handling the pressure and step-up brilliantly thus far (which I knew they would under a familiar methodology, heavily influenced by Jody) and I'm loving it.
They are credit to the club and all the coaches that have nurtured them from childhood, up until now.
Very proud.

I really enjoyed watching Lampty in that game JFDI, the way he plays always brings a smile to my face. Marc Guehi looks a prospect as well but he's unlucky he has Fikayo and Christensen in front of him!

What this team is crying out for is the return of Giroud willy and Alonso

I think Fikayo and Christensen are unlucky to have him behind them.

Did you meet up with any of the boys yesterday, I think they met up with Sid and his Wolves boys.

I couldn't get hold of a ticket mate. They did meet up with Sid and Co at The Vine again though, as I saw their posts on Facebook.

Gutted not to get a ticket!!

Do you think Guehi could be a threat to Fikayo and ACs place then?

The way they were raving over him yes, I haven't seen enough of him yet to be fair,I hope so if only because it means we are maintaining high standards in the academy. Had a busy day yesterday and couldn't keep up with anything let alone social media 🙂
