Tammy Abraham better than rashford?

The Italian league is also quite poor right now, so it's not a surprise Lukaku might do well. I'd rather Sanchez start doing well as it'll might temp someone to buy him off us next summer.

Our team lacks solid midfielders. And other than Pogba, those that can create. If we sort that out, we'd do well.

Abraham has started well. He'll be a good striker. But the comparison with Rashford is off. If Rashford can be settled in a position or system, we'll see the best out of him and our other forwards. He has 3 goals this season already, so to get 20 is still possible. Though I think we should be looking at 15 at least this year. M

Tbf, I don't think we should have sold Lukaku. I was in the minority who felt he was our best hope of goals and it was a mistake to sell him without a replacement.

However, had he done the bare minimum that a footballer should do, and been in match shape, he may not have been ushered out the door. His regular and often contradictory interviews about why he was the size of a Micky Quinn are becoming an embarrassment at this stage. He let himself and United down last year. And it's a shame. Because we could really use the new, slimline Lukaku at the minute

Yeah, i know what you mean. He’s been very good for Inter and I watched the game tonight and when Sanchez came on he also looked a lot more lively than he did at times for us.

It’s a shame he wasn’t at his best last season. Hopefully if the Rashford/Martial #9 experiment fails we bring in a proper striker - liking the look of Alcacer at Dortmund. Or Dembele at Lyon

McT, who is a bit older, has probably been our best player so far this season.

You lost 4 nil to United Kante. And drew with Leicester. And drew 2-2 at home to Sheffield United. One good result doesn't change a fairly disastrous start to the season.

Though I do take your point. If McT is your best player, then you are setting the bar pretty low. For the record, I think AWB has been our best player. Daniel James has been the next best imo. The fact they're both signings diss show that at least our incomings seem to be going in the right direction. There just haven't been enough for me to be hopeful of top 4 this year though

Rosso, it also helped that the Chelsea youth players went out on loan which for me more often than not is the correct way to bring youth players through these days. Get them playing regularly in a good league like the championship and if they show signs that they have ‘it’ then have a couple join the first team

The loan experience is what really is showing for the Chelsea boys. We don't have that time and our policy is different.

I do believe rashford would have benefited from it. Sadly that has past. What he needs now is coaching before husband tendencies set in.

I agree. Being loaned out shows these guys need to actually work hard to get given their chances. It's like with Kane as well.

Rashford hasn't really had to do that at United, he's just been put straight into the United set up and given a lucrative new contract at a young age, with frankly less than flattering goalscoring stats.

Rashford will have benifit from first team football in the PL.

The problem for him is the culture and playing style he's been brought into. I've no doubt with the right coaching and a better set of team mates he'd look a lot better. He seems to have developed an ego.

I think Lampard is doing a good job with his spending limitations. And still has Kante to come back. Made a clever tactical decision today against wolves and was rewarded for it. The defence needs work but Kante should help that. It also helps that imo the Chelsea youth players are better than ours. Especially Mount who imo is top class

They have a few others too who are worth getting excited about if you're a chelsea fan, but think those 3 are gonna be excellent
