It is not how you start

Norwich were 19th in the Championship this time last season.
Yesterday they beat 1 of the best teams in the world.

It is how you finish, yes being up there creates a platform but we cannot afford to let up.

If we get to 95 points after 38 games and lose the last 8 we will be promoted.

Doesn’t matter when you get the points

you are hoping

I am not saying starts don't matter. I am just in awe of Norwich & what they achieved.

If you dont start well your confidence gets shot. If you start well, you can afford to drop a few points at the end when everyone is starting to get knackered. I'd say racking up the points at the beginning of the season also puts fear in other teams.

Because if you dont the opposite will happen. Teams start to believe they can beat you. Your confidence will be shot and the pressure to win games at the end of the season will be that much higher whilst you are probably knackered by then.

So yes, a good start is significantly important.

Fulham x2
Norwich
Villa

All had slow starts yet got promoted. Its how you finish, not how you start. We've have miserable January's every season since L1, hopefully this season is different.

Yes, can you imagine if you would have had a poor start? Wouldn't even have reached play offs.

I wonder how our -15 season would have ended if we hadn't started well?..

Points in the bag count, points you have to play for can be lost!..

When we got promoted last time it was down to our start. We finished slowly
