few games, CL, Prem and League Cup in quick succession.
Need to go strong in the CL though, Poch and the team made a right pigs ear of the group stages last season, and scrapped through by the skin of their teeth, mainly due to Inter Milan not winning at home on the last group game.
Home wins in the CL are essential, and if you can pick up just one away win from the three games away should be more than enough to progress out of the group.
I am hoping with a so called stronger squad (even though most of the new players are injured ), Spurs can go deep once again in the CL. Would not be surprised if they made the final again, and maybe go one better this time.
Anyway one game at a time, my team for Olympiacos
Lloris
Aurier
Toby
Verts
Davies
Ndombele
Sissoko
Eriksen
Dele
Son
Kane
COYS
Expect heavy rotation over the next

Dont you complain all the time about how we never started the same back 4 twice last season?
Dont get why you would actively want to drop rose after he's just played his best game of the season if you want a steady back 4

Rose was poor against Arsenal and should have been dropped. Davies deserves his chance.

Don't agree with that, the first half especially the team were very good. Both fullbacks though we're very poor, agree there.

And now he's just played well, why would you drop him just when he's gaining form?
You did say that we shouldn't drop Son after a good performance, but dont feel the same way about Rose?

Yeh well changing the back four 57 times is stupid rotation. The same back four is preferable, but I don't think Rose is playing that well, so would have no problem with Davies being given a half dozen run of games in his place.

I would have been fine with this before yesterday, but don't think it makes sense now Rose is actually playing well.
Rotate davies in mid week sure but unless he's sensational than Rose's performance yesterday earned him a start against Leicester

I would leave Kane on the bench, give the guy a rest when possible
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Should be doing that for a long time ... certainly in the Liverpool CL game, instead of benching Moura (who got us into the final!).
But the club politics certainly won't allow it, and Kane would be against it.
There are days when I think Kane runs this club!

Thought Rose played well in the Palace game. He's a lot better player than Davies, but fitness may be his weak point.
And then there's his head .....
But I do prefer him over Davies ...

I would have no problem with keeping the defence that played against Palace and playing the same defence against Leicester. But we all know we have a manager that constantly tinkers when he does not have to. In my opinion he has already cost Spurs points this season with poor team selections.
Obviously we all know there will be changes for the cup games, but really do need to stop with the changing of the whole defence every other game.
