The curse of the manager of the month strikes again, as United crashed to defeat away to Ayr to lose our 100% league record.
I'm not going to get too carried away with a defeat but obviously we were hoping for yet another statement of intent and sadly it wasn't to be.
Credit to Ayr though and well done to them. That's what I would have been saying if Ian McCall wasn't such a fat whank, so feck them. I assume his words are pinned up in the dressing room and used as motivation when we next play them. What a fat, bitter wee kant he is.
Anyway, disappointing goals to concede and I don't think throwing the new signing into the team was a good way to go. He looked like he was pulling a cart for the first goal as the boy ran beyond him. Smith didn't do well on either goal and he'll be annoyed with himself on his return to Somerset Park.
We did miss a number of chances though, hitting the woodwork twice and we need to take our chances when they come.
A big couple of home games coming up now and we need to get maximum points to show we're bouncing back. Arbroath have shown they're difficult opponents and we can't afford to take them lightly on Saturday.
