Tbf there aren’t many top RBs around. Once AWB went united ( who himself is young and learning ) can’t think of many we would’ve gone for.

Atal - rapid but not great defensively and unproven
Aarons - sane as above but better defensively, would’ve cost loads.

Anyone else?

Do we still prefer Lo Celso over Maddison?

That wasn’t the question though was it

Maddison would have cost us 100mill. Fantastic player but spurs dont spend like that. If we couldn't get Lo celso for a season loan initially we wouldn't have signed him either. All well and good saying we should have signed maddison but either we missed out 2 years ago or he didnt want to join. English players and english clubs are reluctant to join and deal with the club and owner respectively. Wages and pathetic negotiations etc.
