The FA says it found that "Beardsley made the comment 'You should be used to that' to one or more black players of African origin at the U23 team-building event at Go Ape in October 2017."

am i missing something here? used to what?

Yeah, this one’s a bit ambiguous but when the squad were at a team building weekend he said “you should be used to that” to a black player who was using a climbing wall, the implication being that monkeys are good at climbing things, apparently.

Go Ape is a place where you can go and climb schit for fun.

Adolf Beardsley was basically saying that the black players should be used to climbing things because they are monkeys.

Somebody should have decked him where he stood.

Might have to double check it, but I think monkeys can climb things...

The “apparently” was supposed to mean, “apparently, that’s what happened.”
