Var

Where is the line

They went back 5 phases of play to rule out the goal

But windjalum is offside when he receives the ball before the foul ( which was wasn't a foul) and they score

Seems to me VAR can pick and choose what the review and what they don't

Mount is offside yes but where is the line

They wouldn’t of changed it if it worked before

Nobody said it did, thanks.

More upset by the foul given before the second goal than the offside. He was offside and that's that. If it were opinion, then the goal should stand but it's a black and white decision.

Yeah, I fail to see what Dave could do over that foul, what was he supposed to do, stand aside and allow him past.

Poor decision from the ref, that said we didn't defend it adequately when the free kick came in!

The frustration's understandable, but the problem is VAR would be unworkable if it had to analyse and call back every contentious foul or throw-in. That's why it can only be called into action to look at the passage of play in which the goal was scored.

Both instances worked against Chelsea today, but they'll work in your favour another time.

I'm not complaining. I think the VAR decision is correct but too many fouls are being given when players run into each other - VAR can't and shouldn't be checking these but referees have to get better at spotting these things.

No complaints about VAR decisions, but they do appear to pick and chose. However, more disappointed with Oliver’s inconsistencies in this match.

There were high hopes of him to be one of the best referees in the epl. The lack of English referees in the World Cup says a lot about the refereeing standards in this league.

He seems to have gone backwards since last season, which is a shame because he had bright start to his career.
