Arsenal in September 2019
Plyd. 6. Won 3. Drawn 3. Lost 0. For: 16 Against 7. GD +9
All without a first choice 11. Several first starts and first games back after injuries.
We are 4th in the league,in 3 cups and can only get stronger, obviously.
To hear the whining on here is an embarrassment. No, we are not at the level of 'Pool or City, but how long has it taken them to get there?
Emery is bringing the youngsters through, integrating the new signings ,
bringing the players back to full fitness from injuries and clearing out the old dross from a decade of neglect. He will be replacing more of them in the next 3 or 4 windows. Why do so many of you on here expect us to be winning the league after such a short time? Seriously, have a word with yourselves.
A bit of balance.

His record is virtually the same as wengers in his last season.

If the style of play and away performances in general dont improve he wont get 3 or 4 more windows he will be gone at the end of the season.
His constant negativity will be his undoing. That's the worst United in many years and we didnt beat them. Got played off the park in the second half against a team who a week later got battered 8-0, it doesn't look good to be honest.
The bottom line is if champions league is not attained he's gone.

The problem is the repeated mistakes every single game. Same awful use of tactics (playing Xhaka at all is bad enough but shifting far better players around to accomodate him makes it even worse). Truly horrendous defending. Disjointed attacking.
There's no excuses not to get far more out of this squad of players which is the best in terms of personnel that we've had in years possibly a decade (we've been very poor squad wise since 2006/07 if you look at the ages of the better players and averageness of others who disappeared into the lower leagues/level).

I think Arsenal will pick up once they have a pair of full backs personally. Bellerin and Tierney will take the team up another level as should Lacazette.
Chambers and Kolasinac are hard work even watching them. Getting the feeling Pepe might be a flop but he still deserves more time.
Over the next couple of windows he needs to makes changes in midfield. Xhaka is shocking.
