Lawerence Shankland

Called up to the Scotland squad for the Russia and San Marino games

Still a horses helmet, but probably the best Striker Scotland have got, probably get a move from Dundee Utd when they fail to get promoted again

I wouldn’t be surprised if Shankland is on 3 or 4K a week.

He does seem to score a lot of goals for crappy clubs like Queens Park, Ayr and Dundee Utd. His record at proper clubs like Aberdeen, Dunfermline and St Mirren is abysmal.

Aberdeen, 17 appearances, 0 goals.

St Mirren (16/17), 17 appearances, 0 goals.

I hope he offers good hold up play and assists etc because he doesn't seem to be a goalscorer (at proper clubs)
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Well if he scores goals for crappy clubs maybe he'll score goals for a crappy national team as well.

I'd like to see Billy Gilmour capped in these meaningless competitive games.

I know he wouldn't play for England but you don't want to take the risk as he looks like the real deal and could be eligible for them in a couple of years.

We need to try a few folk out at right back. Maybe Ryan Jack there. Anyone is better than O’Donnell.

If gilmour isn't eligible to play for England just now he never will be. This may change if Scotland gain independence as far as I'm aware

Not true Orange, he will be eligible to play for England in 3 years. You only have to live in the country for 5 years and not have been called up for another National team at senior level.

Tavernier is eligible for a Scotland call up next year due to it. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/rangers-star-james-tavernier-soon-18893192

Do the home nation's not have an agreement that they must have been schooled in that country to be eligible? I'm sure that was previously the agreement?
