City and Liverpool

Hate to say but I feel it’s between these two for the CL this year.

They look the 2 strongest teams by far imo.

Real Madrid look awful at the moment and didn’t spend well in the summer at all imo.

With Messi in the side Barca always have a chance but it’s not the Barca of old and the squad looks a little thin. Also don’t think the manager is up to it.

Atletico don’t quite have enough and will come up short again imo.

Juve don’t look strong at all imo. They signed De Ligt but other than that it looks they’ve weakened the squad. A lot of ageing players in the team and some how Higuain seems to be their first choice striker. They need Ronaldo to carry them but at nearly 35, while still capable of brilliance he’s understandably not quite the player he was.

Bayern have brought in a few good players during the summer and Coutinho looks to be finding his mojo again but is it enough? I’m not sure.

PSG could be the ones to do it if Mbappe and Neymar stay fit. Serial CL bottlers though.

Possibly a dark horse? Inter, Spurs, Chelsea, Dortmund?

I’d be surprised if it’s not City or Liverpool.

Why would you say something like that?

The City and Liverpool success or me being optimistic?

Hopefully, my predictions are wrong although one of City and Liverpool are clearly going to win the PL. Don't think anyone else will come close unless both have major injury crises. I suppose those PEDs* help as well don't they.

*Someone told me about the PEDs. Not my allegation!

Think I may turn off the football this month and concentrate on the rugby. At least I have a decent team to support there!

I became a basketball fan last year because of Mourinho.

He'd hate that game. Far too many points being scored.

In Jose's defence though the football we played when he came to United is better than what we're seeing at the moment. Think it was the 4-0 defeat to Chelsea that made him revert to type (similar to LVG's United losing 5-3 at Leicester making him approach things differently).

Basketball’s great, far more entertaining than United.

I went to see some grass roots football on Saturday whilst taking the dog for a walk. My home town playing against the village where I currently live. I enjoyed the game much more than any United game this season. Sad times!

I might stop watching football until Ed Woodward dies.

FFS!

I don't wish death upon him. Watching this United team is punishment enough!

Fancy Liverpool to go all the way again and retain their title.
