Rangers Wedding video

I'm going to assume most folk have seen the video doing the rounds o Twitter etc of the newly wed couple's entrance to their meal, to Simply the Best and it's added "Fvck the pope and Aye.RA" lyrics.

I couldn't give a toss personally, but the best bit about it is that one of their friends or family has absolutely sold them down the river by posting the video on social media.

Might not have been the person recording but it'll be someone they trust.

Superb!

Those left behind need a wake to relive the good times they spent with the deceased. It tends to be only time extended families all meet up these days.

A lot to be said for it.

Realised that about 10 years ago when my last grandparent passed at the grand old age of 96. All at the funeral and everyone said that’s the only times we ever meet as in a funeral or maybe a wedding.

Since then every year on or as near to her “birthday” we have a huge family reunion. Everyone looks forward to it and catching up.

Ginger

There is a similar gathering of my family since the passing of the last in the generation before. Sadly the family diadpora is very wide and only those around Glasgow usually make it. Also the cousin who organises it isn't the most popular. Him and his brother haven't spoken for years but i get on great with bothof them. Families eh.

Not very appropriate, but when my wife's dad passed eleven years ago, we had a big do in s local Carrick hotel, with no loyal tunes, and it ended up a drinking session.

Wife and I ended up rightly as I was still a booze rocket and at the end of 're night I was pushing my daughter nd pram through a Line Dancing class, weaving in and out of aul dolls like a ski downhill.

Wife's dad was a non drinker, so must hsve been livid looking down.

Death affects different people in different ways.
Some need the finality and closure of a ceremony and function, some prefer to leave it more open-ended.

Personally I understand not wanting to admit the absolute and unarguable demise of something so beloved, it can lead to years of anger and denial and comfort-eating.
