I've noticed recently that teams will panic, rush, make mistakes and ignore good passing options against us without us having to press them. They have a fear of it. It has a similar effect without expending too much energy or giving away space/position.

We still press more than every other team, or at least near the top of that list IMO.
We don't do it as much as we used to but we still do it effectively when we do, and I would agree that it's a consideration that opponents are concerned about before and during a game.

Klopp realised that it much more better if he holds back a bit and invite teams on us when they have possession so that they can leave gaps behind them....hence we don't press like people think we press, especially against the defensive teams.
Those that try to go toe-to-toe with us feels the wrath of the press.

Only Lallana employs the press and he hardly ever plays.
