Euro 2020 Qualifiers

Another international break, but this one is a key one as many teams fate can be sealed.

Group A
England will confirm their place if they beat Czech Republic.
2nd place is between the Czechs and Kosovo.

Group B
Ukraine lead the group by 5 points and can qualify this week. Portugal are 2nd and Serbia 3rd.

Group C
The Netherlands (9pts) face Northern Ireland (12) on Thursday, before making up their game in hand against Belarus. Germany (12) face Estonia. We should have a better idea of who qualifies this month.

Group D
Ireland lead the group by 2 points over Denmark. Switzerland are a point further behind but have a game in hand.
This week sees Denmark host the Swiss, before Ireland go to Switzerland. The Irish also face Georgia. If results go their way, Ireland could qualify this week.

Group E
One of the tightest groups, Croatia lead with 10 points. Slovakia and Hungary have 9, while Wales have 6 but a game in hand. Wales go to Slovakia then host Croatia. Croatia also play Hungary, who play Azerbaijan.

Group F
Spain are romping it, but Romania, Norway and Sweden are fighting for 2nd. Norway and Romania meet on Tuesday.

Group G
5 of the 6 teams are still in the fight. Poland lead, but had a shocker in September allowing Slovenia, Austria, North Macedonia and Israel back in.

Group H
France and Turkey moved 3 points ahead of Iceland last month, and the French face both their rivals this week.

Group I
Belgium and Russia are comfortable, and face minnows San Marino and Scotland first up, then Kazakhstan and Cyprus.

Group J
Italy look good to qualify, but Finland have to hold off Bosnia, Armenia and Greece for 2nd

Let's just hope Ireland get eliminated so we don't have three games of their anti football at the euros

Why are Wolves fans the worst set of fans going?

Brexit as a fanbase...

I think Wolves fans can speak with authority when it comes to Mick McCarthy. Dreadful to watch

Ha, my mums side is mostly Irish to be honest so i have a soft spot for them, it is just that this current side has been dishing up some dire stuff which i would rather not see at the euros.

Gutless Northern Ireland. Kept depending like they were San Marino. Dont need to see that kind of footy at the Euro's. Delighted for Wijnaldum and Virgil - who went down after a poor tackle. He's ok though!

So, from last night:
Belgium are through.
Cyprus are just about still alive, but Russia are almost there. Everyone else in group I is out of this stage.

Poland, Austria and North Macedonia all won leaving Slovenia and Israel looking unlikely.

The Dutch joined Germany and Northern Ireland on 12 points, with the first two having a game in hand.

Croatia took a big step,to qualifying by beating Hungary 3-0. Wales draw with Slovakia means they are still in with a shout - 3 points behind 2nd with a game in hand.

On the basis of the current European Qualifiers standings, the following teams would be involved in the play-offs :

Path A: Switzerland, Iceland, Bulgaria/Israel/Hungary/Romania*
Path B: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Wales, Northern Ireland, Bulgaria/Israel/Hungary/Romania*
Path C: Scotland, Norway, Serbia, Bulgaria/Israel/Hungary/Romania*
Path D: Georgia, North Macedonia, Kosovo, Belarus

*In the current scenario, a draw would decide which of Bulgaria, Israel, Hungary or Romania would fill the empty slot in Path C, which would compete in Path B and which two would go into Path A
