Worst Post-SAF midfield signing?

5 - Fred
Ukranian gangsters once 'helped' the sale of Andrei Kanchelskis. One can only assume they've been at it again but this time fleeced Utd of £53m. His performances have resulted in a campaign to give Eric Djemba-Djemba another Djemba to his name in recognition of his service to the club.

4 - Fellaini
How do you replace a player like Paul Scholes? If you're David Moyes you sign someone who makes you forget what sport you're supposed to be watching. Couldn't run, couldn't pass, couldn't dribble and couldn't tackle. Has a swinging elbow move named after him in MMA.

3 - Matic
Was top class for about a season in the Premier League. Once he went downhill Chelsea flogged him to us where he was reasonable for about 3 months. Plays like the 44 year old former player drafted in to a Sunday League team because of injury crisis. Incapable of anything other than taking up a squad place at Utd now.

2 - Schweinsteiger
Great leader, showed great attitude despite being disgracefully treated by Jose but coming to Utd was his MLS move before he moved to the MLS. Looked a little overweight and at a time when we needed legs around Carrick made Carrick look like a sprightly teenager. Controlled some games for us though.

1 - Schneiderlin
Seemed a solid signing at the time. Had proven to be a good premier league player, Was the holding midfielder for France before Kante was a thing but never acclimatised at Utd and is best described as being Magnolia. Bland, and uninteresting, hasn't recaptured his Southampton form since though we did recoup most of our money.

Moyes - Fellaini, Mata.

LVG - Romero, Rojo, Schneiderlin, Schweinsteiger, ADM, Depay, Martial

Jose - Lindelof, Bailly, Lukaku, Pogba, Fred, Dalot, Ibra, Sanchez,

-------------------------------------------

You just look at that list and not one of those signings has been a bonafide success which is facking shocking.

If I had to pick one I would say Zlatan has been our best signing post SAF.

Fred by a long way the worst midfielder but even Sanchez tops him of the lot for me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Blind and Herrera are missing from the LVG list, two of our better signings after Sir Alex. Otherwise I thought the same when I looked at it: shocking how few have really made it.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Herrera was already done before LVG got the job.

Could head well and scored vital goals for you. I'm sure he's having the last laugh every weekend!

Zlatan was a success

I'd say Fellaini is the worst as Fred still has time to turn it around. Don't think he's got the ability but that's a different story.

I'm not sold on Ole's three signings either.

They look good, but good ain't good enough

Fellaini the worst? I thought as limited a player as he was, he was a relative success

Not for me

I think he lowered the bar for those around him.

Gave everyone a safety net

No matter how bad they were, they knew Fella was in the rear view mirror

I'm sold on them.
James was a bargain, exciting talent, two good goals already.
Harry, deffo not a bargain, but a very solid CB, played with a partner with pace I think it's an important area sorted.
AWB looks a very good rightback to me. Especially as he has no winger in front of him.

Shinji, I despise Fellaini but Fred having time to turn him around doesn’t mean he hasn’t been worse than Fellaini. He quite clearly has.
