Laudrup has never had a 'big' job. Turning down the Atletico Madrid job as he couldn't agree to the terms on offer is as close as he came. However, he has had some managerial achievements; doing the double in Denmark and Qatar, leading Swansea to the league cup at the top of them. Decent stint at Getafe and Mallorca too all things considered.

He is however a proponent of the 4-2-3-1 style which Ole is trying to ingrain in the first team and which is being seen used by the U23s as well so there is that consistency. We all recall how he improved on Rodgers' pleasing playing style at Swansea.
