Boycott Boxing Day

Absolutely bloody ridiculous Who the hell wants to go to a game at 8pm on Boxing Day TV is taking the mickey now, bad enough not having Saturday 3pm kick offs, it’s a nightmare trying to plan ok everything else has to move out of the way for me going to the game, but come on 8pm on Boxing Day !!
Families get together, we always have family at Xmas and in the past I’ve got away with it as several have a snooze on BD afternoon and I’m back for tea or more alcohol by 6:30
Tell Amazon to stick their money where the sun don’t shine....
Not happy, next year better make sure the Turkey is in the oven before I leave for the Xmas day match

Boxing Day fixtures have been a staple of English football for decades.
I sympathise over the 8pm, but at least it gives you a few hours in the day before travelling.

And you're at home, so less to moan about than the 10 teams playing away, including the Scousers who have to get home from Leicester at 10pm.

Liverpool have agreed to lay on free coaches from near the stadium. While a decent gesture from the club there will be people who do not live in Liverpool who will be going to the game. Still we all like big signings so can't really complain too much. It just the way football is now.

Well, if someone doesn’t want to go then I might be in a position to “negotiate” out of working yet another Christmas Day/Boxing Day and snap up a ticket. 46 years of shift work has put paid to having a regular life and the ability to attend all the home games as many are fortunate enough to do.

You're a mug if you think Amazon/Sky/BT give a toss if people attend games or not. If one ant can't go another ant will take the place.

Let's face it, we'll do what we always do: Complain that no match should be taking place at such a terrible time, declare it to be, proclaim "Down with this sort of thing", and then go along anyway.

And, in this case, probably lose to a VAR penalty in 90+6.

Ironically it means this ant might be able to go to a Boxing day match for the first time, family been and gone by 5pm usually so time to go without getting in the way of Family Commitments.

Yeah, lets try and get a xmas day game. We rarely win on Boxing Day anyway! And it ruins xmas

Christmas Day is probably the one day of the year when I genuinely wouldn’t go.

I'll be in Australia so 8pm kick off is better for me, means me and my boys can watch the game together at 6am πŸ˜πŸ˜‚
