The points scoring in pro boxing should be more transparent. Make the judges scorecards public after each round. If a boxer by majority wins a certain amount of rounds consecutively (say 4) then fight should be stopped. This way boxers cannot get battered for 12 rounds and will know how well they are doing (or not) round by round.

I guess this would only work for fighters who have already hit the top flight.

I've had the chance to experience the lower-to-mid level boxing scenes in a number of countries, and it is almost standard practice to get paid per round. For obvious reasons.

Its the "enjoyment" that people get from boxing I feel uncomfortable with. Just like I don't get why some people "enjoy" killing animals and do it for "sport". Look at the faces of the audience as someone's fist smashes into another person's skull to see what I mean.

I don't watch boxing, Its just legalized brutality.Any other time you would be convicted for manslaughter. But in a ring,kiilling someone is acceptable.
