No I would select Azhar Ali if it’s a rank turner as he is a good batsman and if it’s a flat track would go with Ben Stokes who can bowl some overs and can be handy with the bat

Really Afridi? India’s first series was WI (the same team that has won matches and series against some of the top teams). India gave them a 2-0 thrashing.

India then will be playing in NZ and Aus next year before Eng come to India for a 5 test series.

why not open with Azhar instead of Williamson who is a number 3.

I’d have more Asians in a World XI team to play India on their turf. Shakib and Azhar/Babar in the batting line up and go with 2 spinners, Rashid and Yair Shah.

India last lost series in 2012 against England, it has now become a frontier to be conquered.

England had a great batting line up in 2012 and Swann and panesar in their pomp.
