Weird isn't it? Evra was understandably upset and hadn't had time to calm down. Such a tiny detail as to whether it was 7 or 10 times to cling to.

Very weird, another weird thing is that some Liverpool fans cling on to the fact that Suarez claimed using the word Negr0 is a term of endearment in Uruguay. Even if this was true, they never stop to ask why Suarez would use a term of endearment with somebody he’s angry with on a football pitch.

I don't know, my experience is that terms of endearment in those situations often have the desired impact.

In which case Suarez would have been using it as a method to wind Evra up, which was always my impression.

I think it possible that he might have initially used the word innocently, before realising that it upset Evra so he used it again.
