Nervous

Genuinely havent been this nervous about a game in a long while.

I realise it's only 1/4 way through the season, but I don't share the optimisim of others that the club can get the quality in January that it will take to make a significant improvement. These types of games therefore are more important than those against the top 6 right now.

Anyone else nervous?

I'd set up as we did against Liverpool. We shouldn't face as much attacking intent from Norwich but we looked good on the ball vs Liverpool.

All I ask is that they play with the same passion and intensity. Do that vs lesser teams and you never know, we could find ourselves 2-0 up by HT and almost game over

I think we'll nick it. Goal in the first half, then hang in for dear life for the rest of the game. As we tend to do. Only question is if we can avoid conceding, when not even attempting to hurt them on the counter. As is always the case when we go a goal up

Truly desperate that we need our best performance to beat Norwich

Sadly I don't feel much now during match days - I've seen enough to know it's going to be a long day.

It will be the usual, hope we score a single goal and rely on our defence to keep a clean sheet.

Even with Martial back?

Unfortunately, yes.

We just do not create enough. The strategy just seems to be simple, give the ball to James and hope he can run with it with his pace and hope there's someone in the box.

We're lucky that we bought Maguire, because we've conceded so little.

Martial was our worst player on Thurs night imo. Didn't look interested. Given how limited we are, I hope he can produce a bit more over the coming games

Nope, not nervous...haven’t been for a long time now. I know exactly what to expect. The chances of us putting in a good performance is slim. We’ve not scored more then one goal since opening day. Look at the past 12 results, like reading binary. Today will most likely be the same.

Not really..

United at their best needed to be at the best against ALL opponents in what is the most competitive league (at top level) in the world. That is why they were successful.

The main issue is that this current squad is so poor that, even 'at their best', nobody will fear them.

It's not the most competitive league in the world, hence the top teams consistently pushing the 100 point barrier. Outside of the top 2, there is a yawning gap that even a relatively recent team should be able to slot into. Hence Chelsea and Leicester also beginning to break away from the rest
