Eriksen

So, Christian Eriksen, wedded to Tottenham Hotspur, spent the summer on a boys holiday making eyes at other clubs because he can't 'make do' with this relationship anymore.

Some of these temptresses were also making eyes at him, but come the end of his holiday, he'd only managed to pull some ugly manchester bird and he didnt fancy that. The exotic european beauties all looking elsewhere at younger, often Brazilian, hunks. Even the big German lass barely glanced his way.

Depressed, he returned to the marital home but things aint right. He's lost that loving feeling and divorce papers are filed. The end of this marriage is nigh, but rather than working on his chat up lines, improving his image, getting a new hair cut and generally making himself a real catch, he's sat about, in his pants eating junk food and not giving a toss about anything. He's now coming across as a real tool and his other half can't wait til he's gone and regrets not ending it sooner.

But, by the time his divorce comes through, who's going to be interest in this once great catch? Will he ever be able to get it up again?

Seriously, who is really going to be interested in Eriksen who will likely be pushing for a Ramsey-esque 400k a week on a free transfer.

Or will he have a few more drinks and decide actually, maybe that old manchester lass aint so bad, she used to be a looker before her divorce in 2013, but since then has had a succession different men inside her.

On a free transfer he'll have a pick of clubs. Even if it doesn't work out he can be sold 12 months later for am at least 35 million. Its a no brainer on a free. Even if it isn't a Barca or Madrid then Atleti or Juve would be a good move. I personally think that Madrid will still come in for him.

Yeah because it's easy to sell a player who you've just given a £400k week deal to, when he turns out rubbish. Look at Ozil and Sanchez, both clubs will take a massive hit on these who got huge deals didnt deliver and they can't sell.

He won't be on anywhere near that much. Especially if it's Madrid.

Ramsey's on that at Juve, went for free.

If you had the choice of Real £10m a year or Juve £20m a year, would you forego £10m a year. Juve, play with Ronaldo & others, giant club, dominant force in Italy, massive name, nice shirt!

I'll also add that the reports of 400k a week have never been confirmed by anyone. I've got people I work witg in.Rome who have said that all reports in Italy have never put his wage above 250k per week.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s probably around 300k per week given wages in Italy are reported after tax, and there’s a new tax law that reduces the tax paid for high earning foreigners to about 20%.

The difference is that Ramsey has proven himself that he is a big game player. I have yet to see Eriksen do that for Spurs. He does it for Denmark though.

I think Eriksen is becoming a bit of a scapegoat given his situation, the fans are disappointed he is running his contract down and so feel the need to slate him when results don`t go our way.

He put in a shift at Klanfield, but was asked to play out wide in an unfamiliar role for the good of the team, and he struggled.

He is in poor form, no doubt about that, but it`s not down to lack of effort, it`s a mental thing in my opinion, his head is no longer at Spurs as he waits for his impending move sometime within the next 8 months.

You can have all the effort in the world, but if you have diminished clarity of thought, you won`t perform to your best.

I'm surprised how often I find myself agreeing with Billy The Yidd!
At Liverpool Eriksen was playing a lot of the time like a second RB.
Is it true that he's going thru a divorce?
And was there anything to the rumors of Vertonghen and Eriksen's wife?

And just for comparison with all these wage rumors, what is Levy paying Kane ATM?

While it is true that Eriksen has had a loss of form, I will bet that he'll regain it once his head is straight.
If the Vertonghen rumor is false, he may opt to stay at Spurs. Levy was certainly dangling contract carrots for that to happen.
