I will only rate pep as a true genius if he took over a team like liverpool or say arsenal in their current predicament and make them win a champs league or league working on a budget like those teams. Maureen did it at porto. Pep seems to only take projects where he is virtually guaranteed a league title with the dominance of wealth of the team he takes over. I bet his next role with be manager of psg or juventus.

He's taken over clubs that are dominating by their league or close to that, goes on to dominate the league some more while failing in Europe.

Bayern were winning the Bundesliga every year. Pep went there, won the Bundesliga some more, failed in Europe. Since he left Bayern, they have won the Bundesliga some more and failed in Europe some more. if he went back to Bayern they'd win the Bundesliga some more and fail in Europe some more. Who is Bayern's current manager. Doesn't matter because Bayern will win the league unless Klopp goes back to Germany.

Same thing is happening at City where he has spent more than any other manager in PL history and should have a better team than any before him therefore.

Winning the league depends more on squad size and quality, areas where City are miles ahead of anyone else.

Winning the CL requires more and actual tactical nous even if you have a better team. That's why Pep gets ragdolled in Europe by managers like Klopp and Poch. Because one on one Pep isn't that much better than Klopp. But if you add the other aspects then Pep wins hands down.

Some people find this view to be outrageous but even Galileo had his doubters.

Their CL groups are easy as well but Pep does struggle in the CL when he gets found out.

I hope so manu but you know it's TRUE.

Fluk me Liverpool fans go on as if Klopp has produced a team by picking lads from the back streets of Liverpool. you last starting line up in the premier league cost you over 320mill.
